What it’s like to be a Standards Engineer

Standards Engineers work in the Construction Services department and help develop construction standards and material specifications to comply with utility goals and meet industry standards. Standards Engineers track and report on failed equipment and support capital projects. They also work on drawings, reports and specifications to support construction, operation and maintenance the electrical system. They are in charge of updating and maintaining the standards handbooks that are referenced by outside contractors for construction projects, etc.

Education: Bachelors degree in engineering or relevant field
